Cuan House

cuan meaning ‘safe haven’ or ‘place of shelter’

This is the renovation of a period dwelling, dating back to the early 1900’s.  I was brought on board the project by the contractor to produce schedules and drawings for interior renovations throughout.  Phase 01 was the rewiring and replumbing of the dwelling, including the fit out of all bathrooms and ensuites, with new joinery made wardrobes and cabinetry fabricated by the contractor.  Floor finishes were replaced, and a colour scheme was developed with the client. All fittings and fixtures from door knobs to curtains were included in the project.  Phase 02 is the reconfiguration of the kitchen and utility spaces, to make a new open plan kitchen dining space for the family.

It was a delight to work on such a stunning period dwelling, and to collaborate closely with the client and contractor, to really bring the spaces back to life.
